For our walls

A reproduction of this painting called Lys min väg (Light My Way) from Demofia Design found at Signerat now hangs on our wall. I love the motif, the colours, as well as the humour in it. We don't need that much new for our walls, but it is nevertheless fun to check out new pieces of art.

Today I also found the Nordic Art House, which might give me some more new ideas.

Mixing and matching

It's not really autumn yet (thank God!), but I'm slowly beginning to move towards the brown colour scale. My trusted brown blazer, bought at Esprit in New York in 2007, has decided to give up and I had to look for a replacement. When I saw this one at Debenhams at a very reasonable price I decided it was the one and ordered it. Let's hope it fits...

My collage above is otherwise a mix of old and new. The pair of blue jeans and the white blouse I already have, but they can both be found at H&M. The scarf is rather similar to one bought in Italy given to me by my in-laws. The boots come from Vagabond, the bracelet from Snö of Sweden can be found at Jemp Guld, the earrings and the necklace (also from Snö) were found at Sima Fashion. These resemble the amber jewellery I already own and really like. Last, but not least, there are a pair of glasses, Bench from Pentax found at SpecSavers. I really do need a new pair of glasses, since the ones I wear now, from Peak Performance, are almost six years old. My eyesight has clearly changed and the glasses themselves are also visibly worn. I guess I'll have to put it on my to-do-list...

Looking at us

It has been another beautiful day with the sun shining from a clear blue sky over yellow fields — slightly windy too, to be honest. Otherwise it has been a quiet day. We have seen our eldest off at the train station (he will be back tomorrow evening), run some errands, feasted on fresh raspberries and blueberries, and played late evening croquet with our youngest as the garden was getting darker and darker.

The day the above photo was taken was far less windy, but equally beautiful. The ears that suddenly appeared in the midst of the crops caught our attention and we stopped the car and watched. It was amazing to see the deer look at us for perhaps ten minutes before we decided to drive away, leaving it to its business. Surprisingly, there is quite a lot of wildlife around where we live. We've seen rabbits twice and when we saw the deer we also saw a pheasant.
