I discovered Rickard Ölander's paintings about ten years ago. He is a former cyclist and autodidact painter who has painted some wonderful works of art. I have one of his large "people" paintings, painted in 2005, which I love. For a few years now, his paintings have been filled with strong colours and an almost aggressive energy, but now he seems to have moved towards a more mellow palette. I really like his Min Linje — Jag är menad för det här (My Line — I'm meant for this).
